As an educational institution, the creation and dissemination of knowledge and ideas that contribute to societal welfare is the very essence of our existence. As outlined in the Faculty’s Mission, the FEB aims to develop a stimulating environment for staff and students, in which they feel free to develop their innovative, ethical, and entrepreneurial expertise in education, research, and business, whilst emphasizing the role of economic policy and business in the greater society. The Faculty strives to be innovative, collegial and collaborative with its internal and external stakeholders, inclusive of students in governance, enabling of staff and students to pursue aspirations, a centre for debate on social, economic, and ethical issues, and socially responsible, upholding the principles for ethical and sustainable education and research in economics and business.
The FEB is a member of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and thus adheres to the six principles of PRME signatories. The Brussels campus is the first educational institution in Belgium with a sustainability report compliant with the Global Reporting Initiative GRI. The Brussels campus in particular brings to the integrated FEB a rich history of sustainability integration in education, research, and operational activities.
