Brussels, host to the European Union and NATO, is a cosmopolitan city which tens of thousands of international civil servants, diplomats, journalists and expatriates call ‘home’. Yet, its many districts have largely kept their own, often village-like, atmosphere: Dansaert with its designer boutiques; Schuman and Jourdan at the heart of the European district, or the Marollen, Brussels old popular neighbourhood with its daily brocante market. Brussels has direct train connections to Amsterdam, London and Paris. Located within walking distance from the Grand Place, students at KU Leuven’s Brussels campus will study in one of the main economic and political decision-making centres in the world and enjoy the benefits from the opportunities Brussels offers.
