BSc in Business Administration

My story at the Faculty of Economics and Business, KU Leuven

"There are millions of ways to shape your career and the BSc in Business Administration (BBA) is the one that works for me. The program covers disciplines ranging from corporate finance to psychology. In addition, KU Leuven is well known for its multidisciplinary and scientific approach and offers a plethora of opportunities such as job fairs and student organisations."

"Although the BBA was not my primary choice, it sure was my best so far. As I had a keen interest in financial markets and started trading stocks occasionally, I wanted to become a wiser investor. That meant acquiring sound basic knowledge in finance, mathematics, statistics, micro- and macroeconomics – topics which perfectly match the BBA’s curriculum."

"Still, enrolling at KU Leuven was an ambitious challenge for me, as it is the most prestigious university of Belgium. Honestly, I didn’t believe I was up to the task, until I experienced the university’s support services."

"The professors generally adopt a realistic approach and use concrete case studies to illustrate theory. Additional resources, such as books, articles, and videos, are available for students willing to dig deeper and professors also remain accessible to further clarify."

"I find the BBA a very modern programme as it includes practical computer sessions such as using MS Excel in Statistics for Business. Students also frequently discover functions of electronic devices such as the Time Value of Money (TVM) Solver in Financial Institution & Market Algebra. I frequently use these when assessing the stock market."

"Finally, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) encourages students to actively shape their path to professional success and as a student who aspires to become an entrepreneur, I feel really supported. Career Corner regularly invites students for workshops and lectures to improve their soft and hard skills. The faculty also promotes interesting student organisations and student consulting and entrepreneurship opportunities such as Business Student Society (BSS) and Wolf Pack... There are millions of ways to shape your future and KU Leuven is shaping mine. If you have any question feel free to contact me."
