ARGENTA RESEARCH CHAIR ON LOSS MODELING AND RESERVING ANALYTICS FOR GENERAL INSURANCE

On January 19 2017, the KU Leuven and Argenta signed an agreement to create the 'Argenta Research Chair on Loss Modeling and Reserving Analytics for General Insurance'. The goal of the Argenta Chair is to realise in-depth research concerning reserving techniques for general insurance. We will develop predictive models to estimate when claims occur, what the impact is of small and large claims, and how claims evolve over time. We will contribute to research in the data analysis, stochastics and probability theory that insurance companies need to quantify such risks. The focus will be on technical provisions since this buffer allows the insurance company to fulfil future obligations.

Chairholder: prof. Katrien Antonio
