Statuses

Did you go through the KU Leuven central procedure to have your status as top athlete, artist, working student or student with a recognised disability? Then you are eligible for accommodations regarding education and examinations or accommodations in terms of your life as a student.

Students in special individual circumstances (such as a temporary medical condition, a family death, a pregnancy etc.) may also qualify for exam deferral or a deviation from the credit limits in your ISP.

Studying with disabilities

KU Leuven supports you when studying as a student with a disability.

Working student

Are you active on the labour market in addition to being a student? Then you may want to claim the status of working student and the facilities that go with it.

Working student status

Student athlete status

You want to study and still practice your sport at a high level? That is possible at KU Leuven.

Artists' status

You can also obtain a specific status as an active artist.

The application for the status of art practitioner must be submitted directly with prof. dr. Mark Delaere.

Special arrangements

Did you apply for the status or did you contact the special needs coordinator and recieved a certificate? Then there may be a number of specific accommodations that you can request to support you in your studies.

Exam accommodations

Need extra time for an exam? No penalties for spelling errors? With an official attestation of the special needs coordinator, you can qualify for individual exam accommodations.

Exam deferral outside the examination period

Students with the right status, who combine two full-time study programmes, or who experience special individual circumstances, can apply for a special exam arrangement.

Examination postponement for religious reasons

Do you wish to move a (partial) exam because of a religious holiday and/or rest day?
